to the home page for the International Society for Polycyclic Aromatic
Compounds!. The members of the Society encourage research on Polycyclic
Aromatic Compounds (PAC), review, compile and disseminate Information
on PAC and provide leadership in the field of PAC research. The
Society pursues these objectives by:
- Providing forums for the presentation and discussion of new methodologies and development of technology for research into all properties and processes related to PAC. The focal point for this is a biennial conference held alternately in North America and Europe.
- Encouraging excellence in research and education related to PAC.
- Encouraging and facilitating the interchange of information among members and other professional and technical groups.
- Providing information for use by both scientists, and the public at large.
- Identifying a comprehensive set of properties for the identification and characterization of PAC, ascertaining which data are currently available, and compiling this data in a format that is useful.
